IMOGEN KEEN

Imogen Keen has worked as a freelance stage and production designer since 1996 and as designer-in-residence at The Street Theatre from 2009 to 2023. Her practice

encompasses the visioning and creation of unique spatial and temporal solutions for live performance, film media and installations for theatre and non-theatre spaces, with experimentation and collaboration at the core of her process.

Imogen has designed and realised over sixty stage productions. Recent works include This Rough Magic by Helen Machalias, Ngadjung and Milk by Dylan Van Den Berg, Twenty Minutes With The Devil by Luis Gomez Romero & Desmond Manderson, Breaking The Castle by Peter Cook, Flight Memory by Alana Valentine and Sandra France, Metamorphosis adapted by Steven Berkoff from Franz Kafka, The Doll’s House Part 2 by Lucas Hnath, Venus in Furs by David Ives, Diary Of A Madman by Gogol and Boys Will Be Boys by Melissa Bubnic. In 2018, 2011 and 2009 Imogen received the Canberra Critics Circle Award for Theatre Design and in 2011 received the MEAA Peer Acknowledgement Award.
