LUKE PATTERSON

Luke Patterson is a Cinematographer based in Canberra.
Starting work as a freelance camera operator/ editor in 2015,  Luke has developed his skills working in news, documentary and corporate all around metro and remote Australia.

Graduating University of Canberra in 2019 with Bachelor of Media Arts & Production and Bachelor of Arts, Luke transitioned to working in the camera department as a Camera Assistant on local drama productions in the ACT.


Luke has since worked in the camera department on American feature productions including "The Fall Guy" and "It Had To Be You", Australian TV drama, including as "Total Control", "The Messenger", "PMs Daughter" as well as local independent feature productions such as "Sissy" and "States Of Mind".

In 2022, Luke was awarded an Australian Cinematography Society Gold award (ACT) for his Cinematography on the short film, "Becoming Emma Braintree" (2021).

Luke has a passion for creating aesthetic imagery and visual storytelling and hopes to continue building his skills to help bring stories to life on screen.
